Prepping for an upcoming backroadtrip to NW Arkansas. Not pictured: torque wrench, breaker bar, wheel lock key, digital tire gauge - every 1.5 lbs matters! (Note homemade hockey puck jack point pad resting on jack.) One of the neighborhood kids (he's 3) was out playing and wanted to help out. I let him roll out a couple of wheels from my storage spot. Future gearhead, perhaps? His grandpa builds little dragsters, so I'm guessing so. My kids were at a play practice, so no assist from them this time, other than my daughter riding along to help me get my summers aired up to spec after I got them all mounted.
Here's a fun loop close to where we'll be staying:

Perhaps. I also may be 40 in three years...

No I don't blame you at all. I'm 25 and I don't do tire changes on concrete, but I have some carpet samples that I use. I guess a boogie board work pretty well too.

The job gets both harder and easier the more of these you have.

I used my mom's gardening knee pads when I'd do work out in the street on my cars

It works great, honestly, and I'm not worried about putting knee-divots in it, since it was cheap and already a little messed up anyway. I've used an old towel folded up before, too, but the boogie board does the job very well.

Ha! But more enjoyable for sure. I just had one, but it was a Spaten Optimator ...

Some day I'll make it up there. I get invited every year by friends and can't ever get away. Have a great time!
